Join Cape Fear Museum and UNCW’s Dr. Dylan McNamara to discuss some of the basic physics principles that influence the way a surfboard works. He will cover topics ranging from shortboards to longboards, from single fins to thrusters, and from concaves to channel bottoms. While most of these subjects can be understood with an appeal to fundamental concepts in physics, Dr. McNamara plans to highlight some of the inner workings of a surfboard that can only be described as magic.
